Vol. 1 I Berlin

In 2017 we started our first research for Urban Terrazzo with urban waste from Berlin.
What started out as a research on local urban waste, soon turned into the development of a
new sustainable material, which preserves the unique character of original architectures.

The material palette of 'Urban Terrazzo' Vol.1 mirrors the unique character of Berlin's architecture. The color palette of Urban Terrazzo Vol.1 derives from the original 'Klinker' bricks, carefully grinded and reused as pigments, as well as from additional natural pigmentation. The old concrete shows a colorful mix of the former building material of Berlin. A trace of Berlin's unique character.
